Commercial EPC
A valid Energy Performance Certificate is required when a commercial building is built, sold or let. Under MEES it is unlawful to continue letting a commercial property with an EPC rating below E unless a valid exemption is registered.

What changes the price
The band above is a guide. What a firm actually quotes for commercial EPC turns on a handful of things about the building:
- floor area and number of zones
- level of assessment required
- availability of plans and plant data
- age and mix of heating and cooling systems
- whether a recommendation report is needed for MEES
